Chris Durell , Labsphere
Chris is the market and business strategy lead for the FLARE technology. He has served the Remote Sensing, Space and Aerospace communities for over 25 years for Labsphere. He has played many roles including product development sales, marketing and executive leadership for our company. He currently is our liaison to NASA, ESA and all space agencies for radiometric solutions, master calibration and test systems. Chris has helped to specify, design and implement many space craft calibration solutions with industry satellite providers such as Raytheon, Harris, Lockheed Martin, Airbus and many others. He designed and implemented Labsphere’s flagship calibration product line “HELIOS”. He was the originator and is the current secretary of the IEEE P4001 for Hyperspectral Standardization with a team of over 260 global leaders engaged in creating testing, terminology and data standard for this innovative remote sensing technology. Finally, Chris also works closely with global National Measurement Institutes (NMIs) like NIST, NPL and PTB to ensure that Labsphere’s traceability is at world-class standards to ensure the highest caliber products for our customers.
